Jen’s career has encompassed all facets of education: elementary classroom teacher, middle school language arts teacher, secondary literacy coach, university associate professor, curriculum director, assistant superintendent of schools, and board member of the International Dyslexia Association.
Dr. French’s research background has produced the notable publication, Help! My Students Write Like They Text, and the development of ThinkCERCA's Foundational Reading & Linguistics program. Her current work focuses on the Science of Reading for struggling adolescents, curriculum coaching for school leaders, and producing and prioritizing school initiatives that work. She is co-host of the popular Science of Reading Podcast for Grades 4-12 with Katie & Jen.
